SOME OF MY FAVORITE THINGS:
The guards share a look, and it's apparently decided that the taller one is going to bite the bullet.
Little details like this about minor characters are a personal love of mine. Really fleshes out the scene and makes it feel genuine.
The other man nodded sympathetically. "Aw man, I hate it when that happens."
"Yeah," Dick replied absently, "Me too."
Remember what I just said about genuine? And what I said a few days ago about you mastering dialogue and interaction? Yeah. They both apply here too. The action in this scene ain't half bad either, but I'm not about to quote the whole thing back at you. Just know that I ♥ it and you.
