what is it about customs and musicians?! no matter what country i'm in, i get pulled over and questioned and searched - because i'm carrying a violin case. i've had the case swabbed for explosives, both inside and out, several times. what the hell?

Yeah, maybe it is true about the stereotype/airport behaviour thing. Although British ppl are supposed to be polite but I have had problems with security/immigration procedures in Heathrow (And Im a citizen - wtf!!). I think they are probably just more terrorism-obsessed than Norway is, which is messed up of course but then again, Norway hasnt had as much trouble with bombs, etc, as Britain...still, its messed up.

PS I'm living in Cairo at the moment and the Egyptian airport staff were so nice about finding my lost luggage! Even though the airport was rather disorganised and incompetant. And yes, all of this is quite typical of Egyptians in general too!
