There's a first time for everything.
The first time Yoochun goes out of the country, he takes note of everything. He makes mental snapshots of the world he's leaving behind. Then he makes space for a new adventure; blank pages waiting to be filled with stories of new discoveries, new faces and places illustrated in full-color, a footnote for him to fill with what he's bound to forget (the important things).
There's a first time for everything.
The first time in a long time is never easy. He fidgets as he waits - a few more minutes cannot compare to how long he's waited for her before. What if he doesn't recognize her? What if she's the one who's forgotten? What if she doesn't see him (anymore)?
Pages turn in his head, telling stories he already knew but needed to remember again. He flips over polaroids of her in his arms with a smile on her face. (He keeps the snapshot for reference later.)
There's a first time for everything.
"Yoochun-ah..." He looks up and she's there (it's still there).
"Umma..." There's a tug at Risha's shirt and he looks down just as she does.
"Say hi to your dad, hun.."
Yoochun stifles a sob when the little one shyly runs to him, wrapping her tiny limbs around his waist. He catches Risha's gaze as she tries to bite back a smile, he freezes the frame and it's like deja vu. Well, that was nice.
(He pulls out a new book and throws everything else away. Risha gets a pen, too - his little princess, the crayons.)
