im thankful for snow days
im thankful for sleepovers, cooking, and polaroid cameras
for cats lying on their backs or chasing what i can't see
im thankful for my health
for my beautiful family
for laughter

im thankful for being able to breathe,
for thankful people (hey you!)
and kind people
im tahnkful for the lunchladies at the university
who serve me every day
and wish me a nice day, when they don't have to.

im thankful for opportunity, space, time, mountains, sleep.
waking up from a long, sweet sleep
to sunshine
or even to slow quiet rain.
