A wonderful, talented still-anonymous author at hoggywartyxmas has written a fabulous post-DH Snape/Slughorn -- with my name on it! I can't even begin to describe how very lucky and humbled and grateful I feel to have received such a splendid gift.

Thank you for the rec, my dear. It's duly noted down for possible future hot recs. I'm seething with jealousy at the thought of you getting to tast Château d'Yquem - possibly with foie gras, too? Some people have all the luck very glad you left this rec.

It's a curse, I tell you! Now that I've had it, I find myself often contemplating how to have more. Once I stood for several minutes before the glass display in Berlin's KaDeWe (where, of course, no price was displayed, but it could be assumed that a young Château d'Yquem cost at least 500 Euros) trying to come up with ways to save up that amount of money. I failed, of course. The tasting experience is truly sublime, but the cost . . . well, my first was probably also my last glass. *g*

That is very true. It is moments like this that define happiness.

Pétrus, though -- now I'm jealous!

Perhaps one day we shall meet in the Pomerol or in Sauternes and find a way to celebrate . . .
