Second - no worries, re the story. :-) I haven't been able to read much (I made it about a third of the way through) and was hoping to have some catch-up time before the reveals. Alas not, but I will still go through and read every remaining story (including yours) after my teaching finishes mid-week.
Thank you for the good wishes, dear A! and for your understanding. To be honest, I am revved up with excitement about your story -- I had been confused, earlier, when I couldn't seem to pinpoint you, and was relieved when I saw that I still had it to look forward to.
The Azote Principle is embarrassingly personal and not particularly coherent; I am not very pleased with it, and would in fact encourage you to skip it over.
I attempted to leave commenting late, because I am so very terrible at not sounding like I am having a conversation with the author, if I have guessed them correctly. That and I am currently finding it impossible to leave feedback that consists of anything more than *waves hands frantically around in the air to describe sensation.*
So.
*flails hands around in the air in an effort to describe the sensation of reading your story.*
If you only read one story at snapecase, let it be perverse_idyll's The Lost World, which is mindblowing. kellychambliss has an excellent recs post up with other highlights as well, there have been a number of fabulous Tobias portraits, Snupin snippets and artistic pieces.
I am devastated that the fest is over; it was a constant source of inspiration and yes, distraction, but of the best nature, challenging me intellectually and aesthetically and galvanising me to re-think my favourite character in new and unexpected ways.
Hearing this pleases me more than almost anything else with regard to one of my fests. *hugs*
I hope you'll participate in snapecase's next run (I've already written the welcome post and updated the comm's profile); your story made me a happy mod.
