fic recs from hp_friendship et al.

I am not remotely caught up with hp_friendship, but every story I have had the pleasure to read has been immensely satisfying, aesthetically and emotionally and because each story expands canon in unexpected yet entirely plausible ways, making me think and dream. Great hp_friendship recs. Yeah, I say "Roundabout" is definitely by the same person as "It Could Be Me. . ." The interesting thing about all the dense historical/linguistic references is that you don't have to recognize the specifics in order to understand the general effect. (Sure, it's fun when you do recognize them -- like HP/Muggle Trivial Pursuit, but it's not essential to the power of the fics.)

I'll hate to see this fest end.

I completely agree! It took me a few moments to adjust, but once I did it was very much worth it. I worry that stories like these don't receive the attention they deserve because people give up too quickly? which is why I wanted to prepare the reader, but then I again I am a great worrywart. <3
