Congratulations to you and Maury, and Bravo to Ella for her tenacity. I hope that she continues to grow well, and the time she needs to be away from you will not be overly long. Parenthood is so glorious! My grandson was sick over Thanksgiving, with a high fever. It was so frightening because he vomited the medecine intended for fever reduction, and he was unsteady on his legs. But, for me, watching his parents tend to him was so special. The love and nurturance was palpable. Happily, Brixton is all better now, and recovered from a double ear infection, thanks to his parents' vigilance. Blessings to you and your little family.

I hope you and Maurie are able to stay strong through this, and I'm glad you are able to count every blessing during this scary time.

You're right - every milestone is something to be celebrated because being born at that age every thing she accomplishes is a victory to be celebrated. Not only do I hope for her continued strength (and development), but also for yours - maintaining your emotional and physical strength on this journey with her.

My breath caught in my throat when I read this. You are doing the hardest thing, but I know it is also the best thing. What fighters you all are.
