I'm secretly glad we didn't get a snow day, as I was home sick anyway.

Also, I feel obligated to point out that the Liberty Bell is in Philadelphia, not DC.

I was including Philadelphia in the whole "Mid-Atlantic Corridor" thing. After being in 1776 in High School, I am almost cruelly aware of where every landmark is in Philadelphia...

Fear not. Please consider this a pedantry safe space, where you may niggle and nitpick at will. I bask in the glow of it.

BU sent us home at 2pm. That's right. Someone said, "Gee, I don't know. Let's wait until tomorrow and see what the weather looks like, and then send people home." Except what they meant was, "Ok, it's the night before. Let's decide right now to call a snow day tomorrow at 2pm so that people come in and then have to leave early, and also let's not tell them until 1:25pm. Also, let's make sure we don't look out the window or anything because we might see the rain." If ever there were an appropriate time for the term "facepalm," it would be now.
