He tried to turn around and leave, but the other's voice stop him to do it.
"Masaki, wait, I'm sorry for last night... I didn't mean to scare you"
Well, maybe this time it wasn't that bad...
"It's ok..."
Aiba was divided between leaving or staying there and go to sit in his place, maybe the other one would behave.
"So, you came earlier to tell me that you enjoyed it?"
"Huh!?"
Well, he was wrong. Aiba turned to the door and left towards the toilet. What was wrong with that guy? He washed his face again and went to the cafeteria to make time before the rest arrived. This wasn't his plan at all! The place got crowded and when he stared at his clock he realized that now he was late for work, which was really stupid considering he had arrived so early to the office.
"You're late, Aiba" oh crap, there was the scary boss again. "Now stop being useless and start doing your work"
For his luck after that there was no sign of his boss anywhere, according to Nino they were having the monthly meeting between all the chief departments. He had to admit he felt quite relieved of having a relaxed morning.
So relaxed that before he knew it, was lunch time and he was the only one left at the office, even Nino had disappeared without him noticed. He picked off his coat and looked for his iPod, he started walking toward the door completely distracted flipping through the songs that he hadn’t saw someone was coming on the same direction until their bodies crashed.
“Oh, sorry, sorry!” he said apologizing when he lifted up his gaze and saw who it was
Sho smirked and took advantage of the situation pulling him close, before the other could react
“You were waiting for me?”
Aiba tried to free himself but surprisingly the other man’s grip was stronger
“Of course not! Let me go!” he yelled while he kept fighting to set himself free
Sho pushed him against the wall, making harder for Aiba to fight, he made sure he couldn’t go anywhere and tighten the grip with one hand while with the other caressed Aiba’s chin while started to get his face dangerously close to the other.
“You really want me to let you go?” Asked Sho with a raspy tone, making Aiba shiver and slightly blush due the proximity of their bodies
“I-I…”
Aiba could felt his heartbeat raising.
“Sakurai!”
A voice came near them, Aiba recognized immediately but Sho didn’t let him go
“God dammit!, are you deaf?” the voice came near and there was no doubt for Aiba when he saw Matsumoto’s fuming gaze in front him
Sho back was still facing Jun, and Aiba could hear the tone of Sho’s voice different and even the grip of his arms getting loose.
“What?” he flipped, letting Aiba go and turning around to face Jun
“Mr. Higashiyama is looking for you” he replied without even try to mask up his anger
“Too bad, I was having fun chasing the bunny” he mumbled before started walking in the direction Matsumoto just came
Bunny? Aiba thought, the fuck was wrong with that guy.
He starred him until his silhouette disappeared behind the elevator gates that he didn’t realized Jun was still there.
“Didn’t I tell you to back off and to leave him alone?” Matsumoto groaned with clear anger and cornering him against the hard wall again “You hurt him enough already!, so stop whatever you’re doing”
It took Aiba a minute to process what was he saying, but finally he replied
“I didn’t do anything”
Jun laughed ironic.
“I will say this just one more time. He’s M-I-N-E.” he made sure to emphasize the last part. “You don’t deserve him after all the damage you caused before, so stay away from him” he met Aiba’s gaze when the taller man spoke
“I didn’t do anything, it was him the one that destroyed MY life so what makes you think I want him back? He’s the one that wants to play with me again!”
Jun hesitate for one second, but quickly went back to his anger self
“I won’t let you mess with him again and if I have to warn you one more time, it won’t be nice”
Jun looked at him for a last time, before walking to the elevator. Once he had disappeared behind the metal doors, Aiba let himself fall in the floor.
What he had done to deserve that?
After what happened with Matsumoto, Aiba stayed all afternoon lost in his thoughts and visible distracted. Nino noticed immediately but tried not to say anything to not make it more visible for others, especially for their boss.
On the other hand Aiba kept repeating in his mind Jun’s words “You don’t deserve him after all the damage you caused before, so stay away from him” what he knew about what had happened so many years ago? And at the same time those words made him doubt a bit about what had been for Sho when he suddenly disappeared, but quickly shook that thought of his head.
“I don’t care, I had enough with my suffering to think in his” he mumbled and tried to focus on work to kept his mind busy and it work at least for the last hours before he had to go home.
He was ready to get to his apartment and let himself fall in bed, the only thing he wanted was this day to end, he was almost on the building door when he saw Matsumoto and Sho smoking there and chatting with serious faces. He walked fast trying to not being seen it but of course Sakurai won’t let him go that easily
“Masaki” he called his name “listen about what happened…”
Aiba stood there without turning to look at the man
“No need to do that, good night” he said and started to walk fast
Sho tried to follow him, but Jun grabbed his arm stopping him
“Let him go, seems he got the message”
“Argh! What did you do?” sho shout pulling his arm of Jun’s grip and running trying to catch Aiba but he was already out of sight.
After a quiet trip home, Aiba got in his apartment and got ready for a bath, in an attempt to relax before hitting the bed.
He was really confused with all that was happening but yet he was firm with not let himself fall for Sho again.
His thoughts were cut, when he hear someone calling to the door. He got out of the tub and quickly put on the first pair of shorts and a shirt he found
“Peace offer” Sho said showing him a pack of beer
He thought for a minute before let the other man come in, it was the perfect opportunity to let things clear from once and for all.
“Ok, just ‘cuz a drink will be really good right now, come in”
Sho smiled and went in
“Look, I don’t come to stalk you or anything just whatever Jun had told you…”
“You know what?” Aiba quickly interrupted him “Let’s not talk and just drink” he changed his mind, he really didn’t want to have to talk about Jun or anything at that moment only to drink and have a relax time
“Ok, not talking then” sho mumbled before giving a sip to his beer
The next morning Aiba woke up with a terrible headache…
“Oh shit, shit, shit!” Aiba screamed jumping out of the bed.
