How about a membership to the National Trust? They could go visiting lovely gardens together. Also, I quite like this site for ideas http://www.anniversaryideas.co.uk/45th-wedding-anniversary.htm

Thanks, I'll think about the National Trust thing. I had looked at that site too, but many of the gifts seemed a little bit 'something of nothing' - like a silk embroidered pillow with the dates on or a card with a sixpence on. But I didn't look all the way through it.

Thanks for your input & I hope you are settling in to your new place comfortably.

How about some plants? I got my parents a rose for thir last anniversary. Crocus.co.uk is very handy, as they will deliver direct to them, oh and you can search plants by colour ;)

Thanks sweety. I may go with the plant idea yet. They are off on a week long holiday on the actual day, so I didn't want them to have something dead & shrivelled to return to. However, a Garden Centre voucher may give them some flexibility.

Thanks for your suggestions & I will check out Crocus :)
