I think we leave echos of ourselves behind, but nothing really sentient, not in the long run anyway. A lot of the way your home "feels" was instilled by Bods, I think that will stay for a good while. As for the rest, I like to think that goes back to the earth so you get to be something new. I'm going to be buried under a tree so I can be a dryad next time :D
