Inflatable Me & the Instant Sunburn

Well I was under the general impression that all was well, health wise, until I appear to have suffered the most amazingly instant all over sunburn during a normal 30 minute walk home.

I was actually wearing plenty of clothing to keep the deadly cancer rays off (still don't fancy having any more bits cut off my back) so was remarkably annoyed at ( Read more... )

Oh poor you, glad things are looking up. You don't think it might have been a sunburn and prickly heat combo?

I believe you may be spot on (excuse awful pun) since checking out pics of prickly heat on google. Spots are clearing now - just red & blotchy new skin & still a bit swollen & sore. Rash has cleared from the rest of my body. Just itchy now. Managed to sleep all night last night.

I'm just a tad worried about going outside now. Fortunately I don't have to go to the flats today as there is no changeover to do - people are staying another week.

I'm wondering if I can get away with an umbrella for shade on Monday, though I'm thinking a full on burka might be safer :)

Hope things are good with you - how are you coping with the heat?

I'm ok with the heat mostly, it bothers me most at school because I have to wear sensible clothes and can't do as I please, I can't say being pregnant is making it much worse.

Take it easy, and wear loose and floaty things.
