I have been getting ishy emails. Anyone from the tax office in ANY country would send you an official letter, not an email. It has to be a hoax.

I got one saying my US tax return couldn't be filed as I sent it. I don't live in the US anymore. I never filed. SPAM. But all the links looked official. I am calling spam.

Thanks for your opinion, my dear - my own judgement is occasionally lacking, but I wasn't about to send my bank details to anyone :)

It's all good! I tend to believe everything is spam when it asks for details because usually official places don't do that. OR they don't do it in isolation. They like to kill trees by having everything on paper so there's a paper trail!

Any official tax rebate will be via snail mail, I've had one before, they won't use email.
