didnt david sedaris write that book with the really long title?heartbreaking work of a staggering genius or something to that effect?meghan and kelsey told me to read it and i tried to but it didnt work out. the way he thought reminded me so much of how i think that i was bored by him.... it was odd...
that was dave eggars. whom shannon showed to me... i loved his book, i'm sorry it bored you. however, he also eddits a lovely annual collection called "The Best American: Non-Required Reading" it comes from a series of "Best American" books, each adressing a certain genre and compiling high points in each genre over the course of the last year... there have been two of the "Non-Required Reading" installments and mr. eggars eddited both of them... they feature articles and short stories including one from david sedaris's new book... it's good stuff.
i do now recall that i made that mistake before i saw a book at a used book store by the sedaris dude and called meghan to see if that was the Eggars dude but she said no so i didnt get it... shoulda though i guess

arrrrgh, spooky! I comment and then what do I see? The comments of the others! It's Eggers, not Eggars, in case anybody else is thinking about reading "Heartbreaking work..."
Ooh, I didn't know John Irving wrote about writing. Will have to look into that. Thanks Carmen! I'm going to watch Eddie this weekend -- I promise (David, remind me). -- mom again (still)
