oh my god, this was so amazing!! I really enjoyed the movie but this. THIS!!! I just loved every second of it. You nailed all of the characters and what spider-man should be about and it was just really great all around! PLUS Miles and MJ!
BEST THING EVER EVER EVER. I have SO MUCH feedback that I'm going to have to split this into three comments. Hell, I kept a text file open to take notes as I read -- so please bear with me

I love how it's a real learning process, as well. When you first introduced the stop and frisk plot-line, I almost wanted to protest because you wrote that 14 arrests were made, which almost seemed like trying to justify the policy. But like you did with Gwen calling it a hijab, it was simply Gwen's decent and respectful but also imperfect assessment of the situation, and then came the black guy who beat up the rapist who told her to stop and listen, to talk to the people she was supposedly protecting and find out what their needs really were

I had tears in my eyes when New York rose up for Spider-Man. It was beautiful, with the peaceful protests and Penelope's buttons and Miles with his social media and the graffiti and Melissa Harris-Perry. It's too bad that there are far too many Officer Hamburgs in the world, abusing their power over vulnerable groups.
Re George Stacy as a police captain: police captains aren't elected, they're just regular cops. In New York, there's a Police Commissioner (civilian administrator) and a Chief of Department (a member of NYPD) and I don't either is an elected position
