Funny you should arrive to such sharply contrasted weather. I can somewhat relate to how you feel, as I had once spent a month in Bavaria during the summer. When I came back from the lush and majestic flora, into the more conservatively expressed abundance of the Rockies, there was a sense of displaced recognition, but within myself a new outlook on my home's landscape. And people. A strange feeling...
