Again, thank you to everyone who wrote me letters, postcards, sent packages, emails, or just wished me well from afar. While I was in little danger, I can’t easily describe how the support from friends back home made my life easier

Funny you should arrive to such sharply contrasted weather. I can somewhat relate to how you feel, as I had once spent a month in Bavaria during the summer. When I came back from the lush and majestic flora, into the more conservatively expressed abundance of the Rockies, there was a sense of displaced recognition, but within myself a new outlook on my home's landscape. And people. A strange feeling...

I'm glad you're now able to reacquaint yourself with the comfort of your own hearth and the ready smiles of familiar friends. Welcome home!
