Thank you for the trans!! Solemn chapter this, isn't it? Now we find out a bit about the Ashfords' 'adoption' of the siblings, but I guess I'm most curious about the blank between Lulu's "I will destroy Britannia!" and seven years later. How did Suzaku and Lulu part ways, I wonder?
Call me shallow/fannish if you will, but the "when we're old and wrinkled part" exacted a NOOOOOOOO out of me. Immediately XDDD.
"I will destroy Britannia" is entirely missing in the novel, alas. I guess I'm curious about that time, too, but less that than how the war finally happened. YOUR CONFUSING HISTORY, CG. Maybe next novel?
I would actually change that line to "When we're old and wrinkled, and your hair has rolled up in curls." XD Of course, Lelouch might just drown Suzaku in the sea if he said it.
My theory is that when Lulu and Nunally 'died', Suzaku would have lost track of them, as he's not updated on Lelouche's new name. Additionally, it's possible that Suzaku too was decieved with their 'death'.
Really? From their reunion in episode 1, I get the impression that Suzaku had known all along about the siblings' feigned deaths. After all, the first thing Suzaku said was "Lelouch! You are Lelouch, aren't you? It's me, Suzaku. Do you remember?" which wasn't followed by the usual "I thought you were dead!". My take anyway.
