Not Safe For Classicists

Depressingly, they no longer teach Latin in high schools anywhere in British Columbia, and actually I think nowhere in Canada apart from Ontario and possibly Quebec. I quested around for a reason for this appalling state of affairs, and think I have located the culprit: SESAME STREET.

Dammit, those are trade secrets. He'll be drummed out of the Scrabblers' Guild for sure...

The last time I played competitive Scrabble was in Seattle. Every word I played seemed to be legal per the UK wordlist, but challengeable-off per the US list, which is apparently about 1/3 the size. I can't be bothered to play in North America when awesome and clearly legitimate words like VIBEX (med., a blood-streak) go unrecognized.
