In two weeks we'll be in the UK! Weighed down by heavy luggage and an 8-hour time difference, but touch wood alive and well. I hope, if you're reading this and you too are in the UK, we might get a chance to see you ( Read more... )

*waves*

I'm in Newbury rather than Oxford these days, but it's only just down the A34. I can probably catch you during your sojourn in the Dreaming Spires.

I'll be around on Thursday 19th and probably at various points over the following few weeks as well - Walthamstow is easy to get to so if you want to meet up there then that's fine.

I think we can probably do something more centrally on the 19th so as not to annoy people too much. What are the popular meetup spots these days (that admit babies)?

The popular meet-up spots probably haven't changed all that much since you were here last, although I can't comment on their child-friendliness as it's not something I generally notice!

The Shakespeare's Head at Holborn and the Penderel's Oak just down from there are both JDW pubs, so generally friendly. If you're thinking of something different then I can try to work out what suits you better?

I consider myself more a recidivist northerner, but I shall make myself available. Have you any ideas of what you'll be doing or where you'll be doing it?

Penderel's Oak this Thursday - or else we should definitely catch up around the beginning of September!

I'm busy busy this Thursday, (double booked, which is most unusual actually, almost like the old days!) so September sounds good!

I'll be doing the lazy thing of letting my housemate arrange stuff and then you'll magically appear at Templars at some point :)

Maybe we can have a Templars party on the evening of the 19th. I can't remember the last time I went to Oxford and didn't end up at a Templars party - probably the mid-90s :D
