feta and toasted pine nuts are good in pasta with broccoli rabe. I really like the idea of going seasonal, though. :)

Toasted pine nuts! aha! I'd been thinking of some kind of nut, but hadn't thought of any that quite sounded right. Pine nuts = RIGHT ON.

I was just going to suggest spinach with toasted pine nuts. And ricotta salata. and maybe grape tomatoes for that splash of color & sweet.

I vote for mushroom tart since I'm not a big fan of eggs. Someone else out there hates mushrooms though, so...

Mac'N'Cheese would be awesome! If you want to dress it up, I had a pasta bake on a bMed flight that had red+yellow bell peppers with a yummy crust on the top. They used rotini instead of elbow pasta, which made it a little less like kid's food. A pasta salad with chunks of mozzarella would be a bit more Mediterranean...
