I do like Gene's take on Persephone. Despite all the bluster he really does understand how people work and in Sam's case better than he does himself. Great food fic.

Oh yes, I think Gene understands people very well. And sometimes I'm not sure how well poor Sam understands himself at all.

Thank you!

Greek myth could use a bit more common sense, if you ask me. XD

Thank you so much! <3

Eeeeeee! I do love Gene's take on Persephone's story. He's got such a common-sense approach to things, and it's one of the things I love about Sam and Gene's relationship, that Gene makes Sam see things differently.

And that Sam makes Gene see things differently, too! I love how much give and take there is in their relationship. They both have such a noticeable effect on the other.

Thanks! Glad you liked it! :D

There's something really surreal about Sam eating a pomegranate in 1973 but I love how you ran with the idea, and especially that Gene seems to be the first of the two to recognize that they're not really talking about Persephone here. *g*

Great, classic Sam/Gene banter too, thank you!

You know, I actually started trying to research the availability of pomegranates in 1973 Manchester, before deciding that that was perhaps overkill for a 1000 word ficlet. *cough* Besides, I liked the metaphor.

Thank you! :D
