Well, yesterday it was 40 plus degrees and raining. All of our snow and ice disappeared and the grass was actually turning green. Tonight, we have a winter advisory in effect with possible 10 inches of snow, the wind is blowing and temperatures will be plunging to below 10 degrees! Gotta love Vermont!

It was almost 70 here in Pittsburgh yesterday, and sunny; now it's back to freezing gales and snow.

Hi! Welcome to the network. I've never read your LJ before; I like it. It makes me feel like I'm in Vermont (and I have very romantic, sily notions about New England to begin with, having never been there except the airport in Boston). Mind if I friend you? I think I'll friend you. :)

At least Vermont is having winter! It was in the 70s all last week here in GA but it turned bitter cold here yesterday. Its supposed to warm back up this afternoon. When am I to wear all my winter clothes???

This weather is really concerning!

It's so hard isn't it, when the weather goes up and down like this! I really think it has to do with global warming myself. It scares me to think about it.

I am a firm believer in global warming. I do think the unpredictability of the weather and other earth related catastrophes have to do with global warming.

Its just sad we have leaders that refuse to even entertain the idea and do something about it.

My first comment and it has to be about the weather! How very English of me! :) And Maine-ish :) I`ve heard the rest of you ,Northern people, love to talk about the weather! Count me in! i`ll grab a ticket and stand in line! We still ssssslide on the ice here, a bit of sun early in the morning and the afternoon, but the wind is blowing like hell! (erm, scratch that! Note to self: Hell does not have wind. That`s the whole point!) Oh I wosh some healthy snow could drop in on us! Either that or for spring to come! I hate this time of year! So bloody gloomy. Bleah! :) On a different tone, I made pancakes! Want some? :) You HAVE to tell me about this American fashion with pancakes for breakfast! I get bored with making them once a month, I don`t even want to image how it would be like to do it DAILY! Oh, dear, long post, gotta stop now and leave some space for you people to breath! *gasps for air and rushes out the door*

We New Englanders do talk about the weather a lot don't we! Our weather is so up and down that it makes a good topic of conversation.
Pancakes! Yum, I'll be right over! Do you have some good ole Vermont maple syrup? Maple syrup is something that people either really like or they don't. If you want to try some I'll send you some. It is very very sweet. I have an awesome recipe for a maple cream pie that's to die for! I only make it once or twice a year because I eat the entire pie when I make it. LOL

greetings from your neighbor to the north,I guess we here in PQ are experiencing the same weather phenomena as you in Vermont.Have no fear I am confident there will not be a shortage of sub-zero temperatures and wind chill factors to make your head explode,in the coming weeks/months.So get the long underwear out and get new batteries for the heated socks, cause its inevitable in this neck of the woods.

Hey emilia! Yes, we've got the wind chill factor and blowing snow today, brrrr. But, there's something that can cheer us up. Have you noticed it's getting lighter earlier in the mornings and staying lighter later at night? YES, I love the fact that we're going the other way and each day brings more and more light! I know it takes a while for the warm weather to catch up but I'll take more light any day!
