Isn't there a song called "Roller Coaster"? If there is it would describe our weather to a "T". I know I talk about the weather way to much but what else is there to talk about in Vermont? Last week we had rain, then this past weekend it turned really cold and we got snow. Yesterday morning when I got up it was 6 degrees F. Today it is around 40 ( Read more... )

He's certainly in my prayers! And so are you. That's a hard thing to deal with. Sending big Hello Kitty hugs to you!

Unfortunately the only helpful suggestion I have is that you head over to CatsPlay's to check out her Alan-with-Squirrels series. I keep going back and giggling like a loon. Just what I need, because it's miserable and snowing here, too! :)

Oh sweetie, I totaly understand you being, or at least getting depressed about this. Nothing is more frustrating than knowing your child is ill and you can´t do anything about it! And you´re right, every living soul can suffer from depression. My former boss is a very big and strong man and he had it too. Not really what you could call a weak person!

Be very careful if you hit the road and I will keep you, Chris and your family in my prayers. Huggies!

I'm certainly praying for Chris and your whole family. Writing things down--like talking about them--somehow makes them seem more manageable.

Hooray for the weekends--and hooray for snow!

I echo the comments that not being able to help a sick child is the worst feeling ever. I will keep you and your family in my prayers as well.

Laurie! Listen! I know this is hard. You GOTTA pull yourself together because that`s the only thing that can really help your son! You have to be strong for him, let him know that you can be his confidant, that he can talk to you about his problems anytime. Family is the best support anyone can have. Do something fun with him, try spending as much time with him as possible and DO get a second opinion. Doctors, well, you know how they are. Most of the time they definetly find something wrong with you even if it isn`t! But here are cases, unfortunately when they can`t figure it out. So you should talk to someone else. ALSO remember that the most reliable way to heal anything is positive thinking. Let him know that also! Make him think "What am I doing here, missing out all the fun? Gotta get me some cheerful spirit cause the world is just waiting for me to dive in!" All my best wishes to you and your family Laurie! You are a wonderful person! You CAN do this! You have the power to make it right even if life sometimes seems against you ( ... )
