Winter sometimes seems like such a cold, dark, dreary desolate time of year. Sometimes it feels like everything is stuck, nothing is moving. But so much is going on underneath the fallen leaves and snow. Most of what's going on is unseen but if you look closely you notice slight changes occurring. Buds can be seen on tree branches and the days are ( Read more... )

You're back! :D ms_moro February 20 2006, 05:09:27 UTC
Laurie! You're back! I was wondering where you'd got to! You haven't posted for a long while, girly. You sound like you feel good-- or that you're ready to feel good. I spent some time in therapy myself, about a zillion years ago, now, and I can relate to that feeling. Good for you! Sending warm, springy-thaw thoughts your way.

You do have a way with words-- snapesoul's absolutely right! Please do WRITE, whether it's here, or professionally, or whatever. Please do it! :)

Hey Moro, good seeing you to! All your computer problems fixed? Thank you for your kind words but I don't think I'm a good writer at all. It took me over an hour to just put those two short paragraphs together. I keep changing what I write. I guess it's the Virgo in me!

But that's what writers do, kiddo! (In fact I blogged about that on my page about a week ago.) Your careful attention to language, and how you use it, shows in those two paragraphs. It's a good thing. (Apparently I'm channelling Martha Stewart.) :)

You have absolutely no idea how good this sounds to me. It has been the story of my last two years. I have been through an emotional rollercoaster too, like you are now. I can feel the strength through your post because it´s coming from Laurie. It´s Laurie who wants to change and nobody else. Oh, you will lose some friends and maybe you will gain some but that´s not important and you know it. So I applaud you for being so brave as to change cause you need courage to achieve that. GIRLPOWER LAURIE! *hugs peekabooh*

Thanks Peeekabooh! You have gone through something similar? It seems like many of my friends are going through (or have gone through) similar changes and it seems like a lot of the books I've been reading address the same thing. I think it's the GIRLPOWER that gets us all through! Hugs & Blessings

Thank you for your encouragement Dee! Yes, soon we'll be seeing the steam from the local sugar houses rising into the air. There is a doctor in town who still uses his draft horses and wagon to collect his sap, just like in the oldern days. It is a wonderful tradition!

It's amazing how just the change in the angle of the light can make you feel alive again, isn't it.

Change is the only thing constant in life - revel in it!
