I don't know how this is entirely possible, but I did it. I left my ATM card in the ATM. I do not know why I did this, I obviously forgot, but I use the ATM all the time...well I get all the way back to the apartment, come inside, and automatically remember that I did not take the receipt as I usually do. This then reminded me that I also forgot

I worked at a bank for longer than I care to think about. Anyway, most likely the ATM sucked in your ATM card. If it's not taken in 20 seconds the machine usually pulls it back inside so that it doesn't get stolen.

But yeah, you should feel like a putz for forgetting it =)

possibly, but someone else had to have used the ATM after I used it and before I came back, because my receipt was out of the receipt giver thingy.

The ATM will suck it into it's special little place, and will allow other people to use the ATM afterwards. So, the card doesn't block the slot...

ATMs are the work of the devil!
