Ikea, I love you

Oho Ikea how I love thee......

they now make a play kitchen! How perfect and non-plastaicy and subtle to fit into a boy/girl playroom! This may be The Christmas Present this year. I'm afraid that Ikea will stop selling it before she's 2, when I'd ideally get it for her....

Very cute! I like that the burners light up. We have the Kidkfraft retro kitchen in red which is also very gender neutral. We got it for $99 at Costco last Christmas so you might keep an eye out there.

I saw those last year! I'll keep my eye open for 'em this year to compare

Emma has one of those plastic-y ones, which I was cool with since I"m cheap...but that could get me to buy a new one...

The plasticy kitchen my nephews have is one of those mondo Step2 ones that takes 20 AA batteries and was about $400. And did I mention huge??? I loathe it.

OMG this is awesome. And only $99?!?!?! We've been wanting to get Lyle a kitchen set, but so far the only ones I'd seen that I liked were from Pottery Barn kids, and they're really pricey. But I like this one. I see an IKEA trip in my near future.

I think the micro top of the kitchen is $30 extra, but still, bargain if you ask me. And has a much higher resale value than a plastic one IMHO.

A PP mentined that there's ones for about the same price at Costco around Christmas, so will look at those, but do have a soft spot for the ikea one...

I love those pottery barn ones, but, um, some rival the costs of a REAL kitchen (cheaply done, but still!)
