Tough Issues

Ok, so, I went to Cell Groups, Chapel Rock's Sunday night Youth thing that meets at local houses, and kindra cook and erin britt and i just sat in the Littlejohn's drive way and talked the entire time. 1) i love your attitude- wow i should listen to you more often to put my life back in perspective and on track. you chase after the things of God and know what's really important in life and that is amazing and i'm convicted in not doing that so much.
2) everybody has a ministry. one's ministry could b the arts, dance, singing, servanthood, or preaching and teaching.
3) assuming you're talking about a ministry in preaching i find no problem in that. i do believe a church should b headed up by men as the spiritual leaders in the church as they should b in the home. however, i have no qualms about a woman speaking in front of the congregation from time to time sharing with others the word of the Lord.
4) i should take a cemetary tour. that sounds like a cool idea.

Thanks SOOOOO much, kat! I don't think you could even understand how much encouragement it brings me to know that you took the small time to BE the Body and help me wrestle with a tough issue. Both you and matt have given me much needed advice and suggestions and i'm really thankful and so glad that i have lifelong friends like you guys. but anyways, i think i'm going to start a cemetary tour. what do ya think?? oh well

okay, i really think our cell group needs to get more focused because some people are too crazy, and we can never get on any serious topics, without someone fooling around. I don't know, it just seems like since we only have 2 years left, id like to know more and grow, and its hard to when everyone is messing around. As for womens role in the church, i am not really sure on where i stand about women being preachers, because i think that if that happens too much then men will begin to loose their place in the church...thats not saying that women shouldnt be involved in the church, and give ideas or make suggestions about what should be preached, and step up when they know that something is not right, but i think that the early church started off with male preachers and teachers and thats how its supposed to be, in my opinion.
