Poor Junior. She wanted to play it cool, but when she saw Jack, she got flustered. And now she was embarrassed. Jack was great though, being sympathetic to the young girl even though he was taken aback by her excitement. Ennis was silent, I noticed, through this exchange. I wonder what he was feeling about it. I also wonder how Ennis reacted to seeing Jack for the first time.
I'm hooked on this story already, I can hardly wait for the next chapter. I want to know how Jack and Ennis get to know each other. : ) Debra
I hope I'll have a chapter by this weekend...this is assuming I study for my exams instead of writing another chapter right away....thank you so much reading.
Hearing you say you're hooked on it just made my day!
Well, I'm hooked. AUAU from a different angle, but the same instant tug between them: As he neared the station, Jack noticed a tall, blond man furtively searching around for someone. Jack was surprised that his heart started to race and it made him wonder why he was hoping this man was looking for Jack. And Ennis didn't way anything. Will be interesting reading what he thought/felt when he first saw Jack.
Looking forward to this. Wonder if all three of them will end up under the same roof at Ennis, seeing as how Jack needs a place to stay, and Junior is staying the summer... But, pretty soon they'll have to go for paternity test, but by that time maybe she'll have a father and a step-father to live with.
this is shaping up to be a fine story. i like the posibility that you've drawn that junior could be either ennis or jack's daughter. one look at jack's blue eyes and dark hair should make it relatively clear that he's not junior's daddy. but it certainly is a new and different way of bringing these two strangers, twist and del mar, together so they can begin to develop something more, new and different for themselves.
now i have something to mention. alma's last name is beers. the de beers (or however they spell it) are the stinking rich diamond folks. a small thing. i've seen this error recently in another story but forgot to mention it to that author. anyhow, it's pretty funny to picture alma as part of the de beers family. also strange to see good ole LD as junior's grandfather.
thanks! Thanks for the catch with alma's last name. I think I read that other story with de beers and then thought of it while writing this one. Don't which story, though...oh well. Maybe in another story, Alma could come from some snobbish family with Ennis engaged to marry debutant royalty and meets the ruggedly handsome Jack at the resort the wedding is supposed to take place at.

Jack was pretty cool in what must have been a real surprise. Can't wait to see what happens next.

LD, yeah it's kind of a hodge podge of a story.
