2. Kyujong knew - he just knew - that even this far away he and Donghae were thinking the same thing.
3. Yoochun rolled his eyes as if Yunho's greeting lacked sincerity. "The benefits of generous skin care sponsors. You, on the other hand, look haggard. Rough time on the road?"
4. "-we planned this getaway for months Yoochun-ah and if you think you're leaving me alone with Junsu for three days without any gadgets to pacify him-"
5. It wasn't Changmin, Junsu knew that much, because Changmin had never shown any inclination for sketching severed heads growing from the branches of withered trees.
6. Wooyoung was right. There were two mages left in the city, and the more Seulong told them about what was really happening the more Wooyoung just wanted to leave the place and forget about having ever been involved.

10. Suho raised a hand and pointed a finger at a vague shape in the shadows high above them. His eyes softly glowed white, Chanyeol's spear grew warm enough to be felt through the leather, and the shape grew clearer as it descended with the clamoring of rusty chains and gears.
11. “Good evening,” Chanyeol greets the shadow tied up against the kitchen table.
12. Of all the other times of day, Sunggyu starts to remember in the bathroom when he and Howon are brushing their teeth, rushing - always rushing - because Sungjong fell half asleep in the shower again and Dongwoo just refused to be woken up peacefully.
