You know lots of people make jokes about Arkansas whenever I come here, about people being hill billys and such. But I realized tonight some of is true. Hey Ashley! Sorry, but when I looked at Jamie's profile I didn't know who veromidnight was. If I had, I definitely would've added you to my friends list earlier - I apologize again, but you're there now :). On another topic, I know what you mean when you describe Arkansas: My mom's side of the family lives in North Carolina...enough said. Well, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving, and I'll see you Monday.

Ashely,

I was going to make a joke about Jamie's joke in French class, but I stopped. I realized that these people, though simpler in their lives and expectations, have dreams all the same. They all have their wants and desires. It called to mind Lazaro's character from House Arrest; all moments are defining and add up. Those people remind me of the Huck Finn novel; while they perhaps aren't "book smart" like those of us who've been blessed with a good education, they know how to live off the land better than any of us, I'm willing to bet. They have beautiful country side with is their backdrop for their great adventures and dramas of life. There is a closeness in their lives which is unparalelled; this can be a detriment or a boon depending on how you look at it. The air there was probably fresh, right? The nature was not tamed, the land played an important role. It's all very beautiful and romantic I think. And, I would have sat by your side.
-Yours

Ash,
It's good to hear that you had fun. Your description of your family reminds me of Vegas Vacation. You know what I'm talking about?
