POTC drabble: The End

Summary: An AU that takes place about five minutes into CotBP. I was inspired by a recent drabble that advised its readers to be grateful for what they got in POTC - even that which they did not like - because it could've just ended much sooner with a primary character's early death. So - I went a step further. Or, rather, back.
Warnings: CHARACTER DEATH. Can't state it much louder.
He hadn’t passed out for long before he was being hauled up to a rotting deck.
“What’s your name?”
Too woozy to think, coughing up soot, the boy managed, “W-Will Turner.”
Locked in the captain’s cabin, he learned his fate - along with his father’s - from the fat crewman and his Cyclopic shadow. Three eyes devoured his medallion.
When Will was caught lowering a rowboat one night, Barbossa gripped his hair and put blade to his throat.
“Curse only needs blood,” he laughed, a savage twist of his wrist.
But they stored the gangly body in the hold - just in case.
