I like to watch the Hallmark Channel late at night and Saturday mornings for Golden Girls reruns. I also get all those commercials for original Hallmark movies - you know the kind, straight white couples falling in love in improbable circumstances that in real life would probably lead one to beat the crap out of the other or, at the very least,

Because older women are watching hallmark movies and not younger women. It's all about the audience. Clearly the entire premise is flawed, because no one wants to see an older woman get married because then the white dress bullshit has no place. But hallmark isn't going to appeal to anyone under the age of 40. Totally schzoid premise.

The only people who I know are watching Hallmark movies (regularly) are my parents, and they're well into their 70s - so, I'm itaw pir8fancier.

It's entirely possible that someone behind the scenes wasn't thinking too hard about throwing a goat in the mix at the end. They're cute and pastoral, right? Why not? It's not like the rest makes any sense. :-p

At the very least, a single girl might not be asked about kids she never had.
