And yes, fan-fiction of fan-fiction is so "kooky." I can barely wrap my mind around the idea. *rolls eyes*

Where in the world do they get Twilight from the Fifty Shades? Twilight is crap in my opinion and is NOTHING like FS.

My understanding is that FSoG was originally Twilight fanfiction - the author just filed off the serial numbers.

I love your last sentence, that's totally why I read fanfic - because no matter the quality or point of view, it's done from a place of love and playful enthusiasm. There's a sense in fandom of all being in something together - even if the "something" is just an abiding love for a show, book or movie that may or may not be impressive and respectable in its own right. It's a great thing.
