Mmk, as for "the whole point", I really don't know what to tell you, because it's your novel and it's up to you to decide that. However, when it comes down to smaller sections when you find yourslef wanting NOT to reveal so much, you should conisder doing it anyways (revealing, that is).
Good authors tend to do that a lot, they trick you, and trick you, and trick you and then spoof! Allthefuckingsudden it's exactly what you thought it was and you sit there going 'what the fuck?' because you spent the whole time being tricked. It's a really neat thing, actually.
Also, I've found you spent the majority of your novel doing this already, and that's added to it's appeal. But once in a while, it won't kill to just tell it like it is, or whatever. Besides, it's always up for edit. Write it. Leave it for a bit. Read it again, and change what you don't like.
