So we made an emergency trip to the Vet today because I was really concerned about how lethargic and big Dinah's belly got. I was almost worried that she was pregnant although we just got her spayed in the fall. But no, she's just a fatty. I'm serious. My little tiny Dinah baby is 10.4 lbs. It's been 17 years since my father died today. He was killed by a drunk driver. So the issue of drinking and driving is very serious to me. It will always be serious to me. I will never "get over" it. And I don't think I should or need to. But as I get older I think the issue has become more important, or at least I feel more comfortable ( Read more... )

I've done a bit of summer reading, although not as much as I would have liked. I find it is easiest to read on the bus/train and when I am not in motion I tend to get distracted by shiny or furry things.
