Vista upgrade

Well I went and did it. I got a copy of Vista Business and installed it this week. I've got it running now and am typing to you from it. The install wasn't without its headaches however

hmmmm...better. That remains to be seen. It certainly is prettier.

does it run faster ? is the interface more intuitive ? does it have better load times and better software handling with the new direct x ?

Load times for software seem to be quicker. The interface has some changes that I'll have to get used to, but overall seem to be more intuitive. I've got a couple of minor gripes with the UI, but nothing that I would say as being broken.

I'm not doing much with DirectX, aside from Aero. I've got a separate XP install specifically tweaked for gaming

I'm running vista as well. I hacked it so it stopped prompting me for everything. I was going nutz.

Besides some of my apps not working I like it. Very pretty.
