So the latest episode of Once Upon A Time only solidified my belief that the baby in the traditional Rumpelstiltskin story would have been better off with the magical imp rather than that being raised by a mother willing to bargin away her child

Heh. She certainly couldn't do worse by being raised by Rumpel. However, I'm sure his plan for her was to sell her to another childless couple. I get the feeling that people who desperately want a child are his favorite kind of desperate people.

As for the finale, I just don't know! I do think it's going to be a game changer and everything will be different by the time it's over. Maybe EVERYONE will remember who they are! It'll be chaos! I don't even know if FTL exists anymore to go back to. Maybe the next step after breaking the curse is to recreate FTL? I do hope it won't have a cliffhanger though. Surprises to think about over the summer = good, cliffhanger = bad.

Oh yes, I agree that any baby that wound up with 'Pel would likely be sold off before even needing a magical diaper change!

I too hope we don't get a full fledged cliff hanger (do people in TV honestly think audiences won't return to their favorite shows without these?), but I fear that we're going to be in for a doozy! That is a good point--does FTL even exist any more or did the curse wipe it out all together?

Thanks, I've been wishing I had time and energy to write that up as a short fic, but alas both of those things are in rather short supply now :)

I'm on pins and needles wondering what we're going to be facing come May. Hopefully nothing too tragic!
