Conrad was gathering things together for the evening. He said goodbye to the nice old lady where he got the apples for Yozak as he turned around and walked right in to a young man.
The kebob fell from his hands, luckily only one piece of meat left on it. Cloud bent to pick it up and dumped it in a nearby trash bin. He shook his head at the man. "It's okay, you looked like you were in a hurry," He said softly.
Conrad saw that he had marred the other man´s dinner. Then he noticed the strange get up. So another fighter had arrived.
"Still, let me buy you a new dinner. I was not in a hurry, I just forgot to look where I was going." He shifted one bag to the other hand and offered his hand. "Hello, I´m Conrad Weller. I think you are a new fighter right? I haven´t seen you around. That´s why I assume you are new here."
He shrugged. "I just ate," Cloud replied softly. "I don't mind."
This... Conrad offered him a hand? That was a first. Most people just avoided him when they saw his outfit. Not that it really mattered, Cloud usually just ignored them. He tentatively took the hand with his gloved one, the one without the clawed digits, and shook it. "Cloud Strife. Yes, I'm new here."
Cloud decided to opt out of his armor and cloak and claw this time, leaving the Buster Sword in his room as well. He was left in just his old uniform of shirt, belt with suspenders, and fatigue pants with his boots.
Walking the short few feet, he rapped his knuckles lightly on the door.
Yozak had his feet up on the table in the sitting area, writing something down the old-fashioned way instead of putting it on the network computer. At least he had been warned that they were going to have a visitor, and wasn't being asked to dress nice, but that wasn't motivation enough. "Conrad," he yelled in case his roommate was still in his room. "Door."
Conrad came outside of his room, pulling a new shirt on. "Nice, I feel like a dog, Yozak. A full sentence would be polite." He smacked the redhead over his head as he walked to the door. It was a bit harder as he would do when joking.
He opened the door, a pleasing smile on his lips. "Welcome. I hope you are hungry because my roommate will eat only a dry piece of bread today."
Conrad listened to their conversation. Yozak was good in getting information. It was always fascinating to watch his friend in action.
He heard a quiet knock against the door and stood up. "I´m sorry to interrupt but I think our food is there." He opened the door and asked the servant to come inside.
Not ten minutes later the table was loaded with food and the servant said his goodbye.
"Now, I hope you will find everything to your liking."
Cloud stood up and took his plate, he bent down in a crouch to get the drinks on the bottom, his shirt stretching lightly, a slight bump on his shoulder blade becoming more pronounced briefly until he stood up with a water bottle. "Thank you, Conrad for the invitation and the food."
As he passed by, Yozak noticed the odd movement beneath Cloud's shirt, but he kept it to himself for the moment. He was curious but not enough to disrupt polite dinner conversation. He took a seat in his usual chair, rubbing his hands. "So much food, so little time. But the three of us can put it to good use, eh?" he chuckled.
Conrad was already by the table and missed to make the same observation as Yozak.
"Well, Yozak, you get this here." Conrad pushed the small basket with bread to his friend. "I think Cloud and I will eat the rest." He picked up his napkin and laid it on his lap.

Cloud wasn't exactly a talkative person.
