"Playing with fire again, Lulu." The handsome soldier walked toward the two ladies. He had a bag with sweets in his hand. It was only a coincidence that he took the walk through the park instead the direct way back to the hotel.

His eyes fell on the grill and on the food right beside it on the table. "I´m sorry if I have interrupted something."

"Always," Lulu replied, smiling at Conrad's friendly teasing. At least she was playing constructively. She waited politely as Kaede explained that she was hosting a picnic, come one, come all.

"See?" Lulu said, when the female ninja finished speaking. "Nothing to apologize for. You're just in time." She winked. "Unless you've made other plans..."

oO but why then this sad smiley? guardian_conrad June 28 2009, 07:42:57 UTC
Conrad chuckled and took Lulu´s hand to give her a kiss on it. "I have always time for two lovely ladies." He had nothing planned for today. All he knew was that Yozak was busy again and that he would only sit down for a bit of reading.

Such a picnic would be a nice change and he could learn more about the other people. Which would help in his mission.

"Really, Conrad, you're too kind," Lulu effused, but her eyes and tone of voice said she enjoyed the company. So did the friendly squeeze she gave his hand when he kissed hers. She already considered him a brother guardian.

"Are you hungry?" she asked, gesturing toward one of the picnic tables. "It seems Miss Kaede is trying to outdo herself with a multicultural feast."

Josuke wasn't about to pass up some free food. He put on his usual getup (something that was finally cleaned after his last fight) and headed down to the park. A couple of people had already arrived, so he walked on over and started to check out the spread. Of course, his outfit wasn't made for hot weather, so it didn't take long for the sweat to rear its ugly head.

Everything smelled fabulous. It had been so long since he had food like this, so he was going to stuff his face! Screw everyone else! Josuke grabbed a plate and headed on over to the grill. "Load it up, please."

Kaede smiled broadly at the young man's approach. Now this looked like someone who would appreciate some good, old fashioned, home cooking. Even if it was outdoor-style!

"Yes, sir!" she said, heaping his plate with a generous sampling of everything on the grill, bowing slightly out of habit as she gestured to the picnic table lined with okazu. Side dishes. "Please help yourself to anything else you would like!"

She was very pleased that people were turning out to the event after all.

"Thanks!" Josuke's eyes and mouth widened when he got his plate back. All this yummy stuff... he was going to need another plate. He put his full one down on a nearby table and grabbed an empty one for side dishes. It was like his dream come true: ENDLESS FOOD.

Now all he needed was some pretty ladies to look at and he was set. And Kaede was an excellent start. "You sure know how to work a grill."

Kaede nodded, smiling prettily at the compliment, with just a hint of mischief in her eyes as she began to juggle her chef knife and cooking utensils Teppanyaki style.

Catching them all neatly, she gave a traditional bow. "Thank you very much," she said, "I do my best." She wasn't exactly a professional chef, but knives were her specialty, and she'd had plenty of time lately to practice many different uses for them.
