Well, it's election day, and I've done my civic duty...and canceled out bunnyboy 's vote. That' right kiddies, I voted for Bush! (...no...no...put down that knife...ow! That hurts! What? A bazooka?! Aaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!)

I finally watched the other debates last night (or at least most of them), and it was all I needed to confirm what I honestly already knew ( Read more... )

Amigo, you have every right to vote with your heart.
It is your decision. I am proud you went out and voted.
And FYI
The song is by Lee Greenwood, and is called God Bless the USA.
I hate that song. My sister, when she was younger, listened to it constantly. This song drove me to communism and heavy metal in my teen years.

Can we ask you that question again in 4 years, after more people have died in Iraq, and we have a 10 trillion dollar deficit?

By all means...and if what I see happen in 4 years appalls me, then I'll admit that I was wrong. I don't think that will be needed, however...otherwise I wouldn't have voted the way I did.

I do actually try to be as open-minded as I can be. Despite knowing my leanings, I made sure to watch the debates, and listen to everything I heard. I can't stand the idea of voting party line. Just because I'm republican doesn't mean that every republican is going to be a good choice. Nor does it mean that every democrat is horrible. I was MUCH more impressed by Kerry than I was with Clinton or Gore. But when it came down to it...I still disagreed with him.
