So, um. Today I watched the Tour de France for the first time, babbling at
crimsonquills as we watched. To fully express how interesting the stage was, I shall now do my best Keanu Reeves impression.

I think my impression needs a little work.

Nix may be able to convey the omgwtfbbq of it better than I can, but long story short, Landis pulled out so far ahead of the rest of the group that he more than made up for his eight minute time loss the day before, thereby triggering a hair-raising sequence of events. The YJ group and the peloton absolutely fell to pieces, and did so literally in the last climb. Final result is that Landis is now back in the top three, with only thirty seconds between him, Pereiro, and Sastre. This means the whole Tour is likely to be decided in the time trial, unless someone pulls something really freaky on the flat stages. Which, with the way things have been going, is not entirely unlikely.
