Due to certain Circumstances, which as I have signed a non-disclosure agreement with the government I am not at liberty to discuss, for the foreseeable future I will be doing most of the cooking in this house. Fun fun fun. I hope I can at least clean the kitchen first ( Read more... )

Scrambled Eggs with Stuff in Them:

Dice some onion, toss them in a frying pan with butter, garlic and a little salt. Grate some cheese, and chop up about half a tomato. Add the tomato right away. Save the cheese for later.

In a seperate bowl, break open two eggs (or more), add a dash of milk. Wisk with a fork until the yolks are all broken up.

Dump egg goo over the onions and stir it around until it's about half cooked. Add cheese. Stir around until all the way cooked.

Add more cheese.

Start eating.

Decide it needs more cheese.

Eat eggs.

Eat extra cheese that fell off the eggs.

Can you give us some parameters? I have about six million recipes. How's your skill level? Availability of produce? Availability of meat? Do you have a slow cooker or dutch oven or just some pans and a stove and an oven? Any favorite kinds of food, or more importantly things you or other family members just won't eat? Do you want things to always take less than an hour in cook/prep time?

Details, man!

Skill level: moderate, but can learn so long as I have Google to throw questions at.
Availability of produce: there's two fairly well stocked farmer's markets in town, and the supermarkets generally have a large range for anything else. Most things can be found as dried or canned ingredients if nothing else.
Availability of meat: odd types of meat may be difficult, but anything common is readily available.
Appliances: just a stove, oven and some pans, but I don't mind picking up one or two more things. I'm already looking at crock pots.
Avoidable Foods: anything that contains tomato, pumpkin or green beans as an ingredient you can actually taste is out. Anything where the taste is subsumed, or where it's optional is fine.
