Michelle, one of my other friends who is closer to Louise than she is to me, tells me that Louise is "fine" and that she "just likes blood".
Michelle has self-harmed in the past so she tells me that she can't tell Louise to stop because it would be hypocritical of her.
I find it difficult to understand why people self-harm because I've never done it before. I was under the impression that people do it because they are hurting and it is something that they have control over. I thought people did it because they wanted to release some of the pain they felt inside. I didn't think that people did it because they were, in Louise's case, bored.
I find it hard to believe that the only reason Louise does it is because she likes blood and is bored but Michelle does not find it at all ludicrous. She knows her "well" and tells me that "[Louise] is doing it because she likes blood and she enjoys the pain. She also likes to do it on web cam to watch people squirm."
Louise enjoys acting differently but I am not sure what to make of this
It would probably be wise to tell someone but it is really none of my business. It is a serious situation but it would appear many of my friends either self-harm or have self-harmed and are fine now. Michelle, I hope, won't let Louise do anything stupid.
When Michelle was going through a particularly rough time, her friends managed to convince her to tell her parents about how she was feeling.
I do not know much of Michelle's relationships with her parents but I assume it is better than Louise's. I live next door to Louise and I can often hear her arguing with her mother.
I asked Michelle whether or not she thought Louise found it erotic (stranger things have happened) to cut herself whilst other people are watching and she said she did not know.

the stuff about your friend cutting yourself sounds a lil scary :/ I don't think the deal with that guy on the net is a good idea!
