Another long shot...Has anyone stayed over in the city after going to Millenium? I'm going there to celebrate my 21st bday and i don't want to drive home (petaluma) afterward. I was looking for some recommendations for a not-too-pricey hotel in the area before I try to book the Savoy just because it's in the same building...

hmm....there are always those motels in the marina...like on lombard street. those are pretty cheap. what day do you need to stay in the city? if it's only you or you and just a friend you could probably stay with my friends and I.

ah we gave in and booked a hotel room. but thanks anyway! i finally figgured out which school yours was when i realized i work down the street from it (at the electric company). i'll give you rides to the east bay after school when i finally find my apartment there!

yeh, my hs was like that too..i was always jealous of my friends that went to san marin and could leave campus at lunch...
you probably don't stick around until five, but the offer still stands that after i move you're welcome to rides to the east bay.

yeh we wanted somewhere romantic and alone. we wound up booking a hotel..the free wine hour won us over.

You could always try one of the youth hostiles on Broadway. I think those are 15 a night. I am so jealous that you get to go to millenium I want to go so bad! All I get is vegan chinese food on my birthday, a cancelled show and a whole lot of unneeded complaining from people that I refuse to be my old cokehead roommates friend anymore. Oh My god Have you heard Skitsystem? I saw them last night and it made me think of you alot and how much you'd like em if you don't already. Hope all is well on your end of the planet. yes skitsystem is wonderful . they played at gilman when i was in london. i would have liked to have seen them...plus lots of the other bands that played that weekend. anyway...i'm excited about millenium. yum!
