I think I've caught the cold everyone else seems to be getting. I've been in bed for the past few days because of it. It started with a slight runny nose then the next day it was like I'd been hit by a Nimbus 5000. Headache, coughing, sneezing, congestion. You name it, I've got it. I did get wind of some sort of something that Helga was working on

I have full faith in Helga's remedy, but goodness! If you feel that bad you definitely should stay in bed instead! It cannot be good for you to be walking around like that.

I think if I stay in bed any longer I might lose my sanity. Is it a bad idea to leave my bed? I don't know too much about these colds. I don't recall having that many before.

Well, your sanity isn't a good thing to lose! But yes, the best way to get over a cold is rest and plenty of fluids.
You might want to have someone find Helga for you though, I've heard wonderfull things about her pepperup soup.
