Jane was never kidnapped by Captain Hook, so she has yet to go to Neverland. Because of this, she strongly believes Peter Pan to be nothing more than a fairytale she stopped believing in years ago.
Her home of London is currently undergoing a war. One that has been raging since she was a very young child. It was so severe that many men were drafted, including her father. The danger of bombs constantly dropping from the sky also forced families to evacuate their the children to the countryside where they would be safer. Jane's mother Wendy chose to send her daughter off to the Disney Academy instead.
At first Jane was very much against it. When her father left home years ago, she had promised him that she would be the one to protect the family while he was off fighting, and she couldn't very well do so away at some strange school. But then she thought about the strange mist engulfing the land, even beyond London, and how the people at the academy were trying to learn how to battle against it. She decided then that if her father was being a brave soldier, then so would she.
At the academy Jane was a diligent student, preoccupying most of her time by engrossing herself in her studies. Her life for the most part there was peaceful until her younger brother Danny was sent to the school as well. She quickly took it upon herself to watch over him, though being the constant babysitter of a rambunctious four-year-old took a large toll on the young girl.
Jane also made some friends at the school, her closest being a kindly old teddy bear named Lotso. The bear quickly became Jane’s greatest comfort while being away from her family. He was always there to offer her words of comfort or a hug whenever she felt upset. Jane was completely unaware, however, that her fluffy pink friend had a very twisted past. One Mr. Lotso did everything in his power to prevent her from discovering.
Personality:
Jane is a smart, considerate young girl. One who often tries to act much older (as well as much braver) than she actually is. Jane had to grow up rather quickly due to her father being drafted for war. In his absence, Jane took it upon herself to care for her mother and younger brother. She can’t bring herself to enjoy her childhood like most children do because of all the responsibility she has put upon herself.
Back in London, Jane truly felt confident that she could take care of her loved ones. Though it was a dangerous place for a child, Jane at least knew her way around. She was braver there, as well as more together. Since leaving home however, her confidence in herself has dropped severely. Alone in a new place, she found herself feeling quite intimidated. She's much shyer now than she was at home, and more easily frightened. She feels a lot of shame in herself because of it, and wishes she could summon the courage to be the strong leader she thought she was back home.
Deep down Jane is very much a homesick little girl. She misses her family terribly, but doesn’t dare confide it to anyone. Adults don’t get homesick and cry, after all. She also believes that playing and listening to fairy tales are childish wastes of time. She prefers to put her efforts into things she considers important, like studying and planning. But even though she tries her hardest to act mature, she can still get easily frustrated and throw tantrums every now and then. And truthfully, she actually would like to act a tiny bit more like a child. She believes it would maker look weak though.
Greatest Fear:
To never see her father alive again, and to not be able to prove herself a strong and capable protector of those she cares about. Jane very much wants to be the person people go to when they're frightened or in danger. She wants to be able to help them like a reliable adult should. But seeing as she's still just a child, this is a big, difficult task for her. Nothing would devastate her more than to be in a situation where someone she cares about is in need, and she is incapable of making things better because she still lacks the maturity and knowledge of a full grown adult. She would place the blame on herself, and feel ashamed for being so helpless and useless to her loved ones.
Has your character been at the Academy before/ does your character remember being at the Academy before?:
Yes, she has. Her memories of her time at the academy are intact for the most part. She remembers her classes, her dorm room, and her experiences with the mist. But her memory of non-returning students and staff members has been wiped clean. Including ones she was very close to, like Mr. Lotso and her brother Danny.
What are you plans with this character?:
I plan to pick up where Jane left off, albeit with a bit of her memories gone. She’ll be unaware that two of the people she was closest to in the old Disney Academy have vanished. Through the course of time she may slowly discover bits and pieces of her memories, and feel anguish over those she has lost. That will be what gives her the strength to battle the mist and the stranglings, since they're responsible for it.

How has the Black Mist affected your character’s memory, if at all?:
As stated above, most of Jane’s memories of the academy and people she’s met are intact. Non-returning students and staff members though, she has forgotten. She has no recollection of her younger brother joining her at the academy. For all she knows he is back in London, safe in the countryside.
She has no memory of her friend Mr. Lotso either. However, Jane seems to be vaguely aware that she has lost someone dear to her. She often finds herself feeling incredibly heartbroken, breaking down into tears for what appears to be no reason at all. She also sometimes dreams at night that she is hugging something cuddly in her arms, only to wake up and find nothing.
Are there any noteworthy events that happened to your character in the previous game?:
Only her relationship with Mr. Lotso. The evil bear had entered the academy planning to claw his way to the top and gain power, much like he did in his past. But he didn’t plan on meeting Jane. She unintentionally caused a change in the bitter old toy. He had sworn never to love another child again, but found himself grow close to Jane against his better judgment.
Their last experience at the school together had them hiding and cowering in Jane’s dorm due to a strangling attack. During this, Lotso shared with Jane how he believed his past owner had abandoned and replaced him. Jane promised him she would never do the same and that he would always have her.
Unfortunately that would be the last time she’d ever see him.
♠ Writing
Third person writing sample:
It was quiet in the room, save for the light sound of her pen strokes.
In moments her weekly letter to her mother was done, and the young girl gave a soft smile as she looked it over. She made certain there were no spelling or grammatical errors, as she couldn’t have her mother thinking she wasn’t learning proper writing in her classes.
Yes, all seemed to look well. It was perfectly neat, perfectly written and perfectly accurate.
It wasn’t a terribly exciting letter, Jane had to admit, as nothing very alarming had happened to her as of recently. There had been another mist emergency, but thankfully she had remained safe. Everyone at the school had, much to her surprise. They had all been very fortunate.
Sealing the letter in a lavender envelope, Jane rose from her desk and made her way to the door. She watched her step out of habit, not yet used to Rapunzel no longer sharing the dorm with her, thus no longer having to be careful as to not step on the elder girl’s long hair.
Jane frowned a bit, looking over at the wall above what used to be Rapunzel’s bed. Her lovely paintings still remained, even though she was gone. Jane knew she could visit Rapunzel at her new dorm in Hoover Hall at any time, but it would still feel terribly lonely here in their old dorm without her. Now Jane had no one to talk to, and it would have to take some getting used to.
She reached the door and began making her way out, casting one last glance into the room before leaving. But almost immediately she stuck her head back inside, blinking in surprise. Her eyes fell upon the arm chair that sat beside the window.
Just as Jane thought... it was empty.
Yet she could have sworn she’d seen something there. A vague pink shape.
She shook her head, mentally scolding herself. Of course there was nothing there. Why would there be? Goodness, this was the fifth time this week she had sworn she’d seen something in the room. Perhaps, Jane thought, too much studying was causing her eyes to play tricks on her. She would have to begin taking breaks every now and then, she decided.
With a sigh she at last left, closing the door lightly behind her.
A strange force of habit again. It was as though she didn’t wish to disturb someone inside with the noise.

01: [Accidental Video]
[The image of a darkened room suddenly comes up on screen. There’s no one in sight, but the soft sound of weeping can be heard off to the side.
For a minute or two nothing happens until the weeping finally begins to fade. Movement is heard and a lamp sitting beside to the communicator is turned on. The room is still rather dim despite it though.
A pale hand emerges from the dark, taking hold of the communicator, and a tear soaked face then comes into view. It gasps upon seeing the device is turned on.]
Oh!! Oh gosh, I-I’m sorry!!
[There's a great deal of fumbling until the screen abruptly goes black.]
