It was unmistakable. It was in big black bold letter on a white sheet. Many other names were on the long list, but Jinki didn't really care about that. He only selfishly cared about his own acceptance.
When he got out of the crowd, Jinki immediately sensed his cellphone vibrate in his pocket. He didn't really know if it was a coincidence or if his boyfriend was a freaking psychic, but he flipped his phone open and gazed at the screen. He flashed a brilliant smile when he saw Kibum's name in bold black letters just before the words that had probably been typed with trembling hands.
How was it?
Jinki bit his lips and wrote a reply while he started to walk away from a noisy crowd of cheering students.
I'm in!
Two simple words that made Jinki hold back a cry of victory. He really didn't want to show his dorky self in front of his soon-to-be classmates; it wouldn't make a very good first impression.
He hurried to walk toward the school gate and then skipped down the streets where he was sure to find Jonghyun waiting for him by his car.
On his way, Jinki noticed how everything around him seemed to beam. It was one of those rare moment that made life so worthy of living. The fact that he'd probably be cussing over endless piles of homeworks in a few months didn't really matter at that moment. Jinki had worked so hard to get into university, that he felt like all his efforts were finally rewarded. Passing classes that he didn't care about or that he found particularly difficult made more sense now that he had finally got what he wanted to. It was one more step to the big goal. And it was one important step too.
It wasn't long that Jinki felt his phone tickle his skin from inside his pocket. Pulling it out, he saw Kibum's name on the screen.
U got in? u sure? like 100 sure?
Jinki grinned at Kibum's questions. He was pretty sure the younger boy was just as nervous as he was before the results were out.
Kibum had helped him study things he didn't understand so many times that Jinki had stopped counting. Sometimes he even brought him take-out food so that Jinki wouldn't have to waste time cooking for food that was barely edible.
Now that everything would soon be over for the summer and with the promise of a bright future, Jinki felt more confident than ever. Not to mention that he could finally go and cuddle with Kibum all night without feeling regretful for neglecting his homeworks.
Jinki hadn't realised that he had stopped walking to stare at his phone. A large smile was plastered on his lips and it didn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. He could just imagine the kisses he would receive from his boyfriend when he'd get to his apartment.
And then announcing the happy news to his parents would be like living this moment all over again. It was going to be an amazing week, he could feel it.
Jinki finally decided to reply to Kibum's message. His feet made their way to where Jonghyun was going to be; waiting for him like the best friend he was.

He didn't mind being cheesy just this once. His mind couldn't really find better words anyway, it was too overwhelmed with joy.
Greeting Jonghyun when their gaze met, he quickly broke the great news to him.
"Does Kibum know?" He asked eagerly, because if someone knew before the possessive boyfriend, then Jonghyun was pretty sure he could say goodbye to his precious CD collection.
Jinki nodded and they exchanged a quick hug, patting (hitting) each other's back as they mumbled things through their laughter.
"We better go now!" Jonghyun said. "By the way, I got in too."
Jinki chuckled at Jonghyun's nonchalance and threw him his car keys while the other was circling the car to get to the driver's seat. As he opened the door, Jinki's phone once again vibrated in his pocket. When he was comfortably settled inside the car, Jinki checked the new text from Kibum.

I'm so happy that I don't want to go to bed and enjoy the warm feeling my heart! I swear it's the first time I actually cry out of happiness!! I know I have tone of homeworks to do and everything and I have to get up early today, but OH MY GOD, I GOT IN!!! MY DREAM! I CAN SEE IT NOW!!!
