Jonghyun/Key, Onew/Key
PG-13, Drama-Romance

★ Unfortunatly, you can't hate someone better than you.

"You...You cheated on me?"

"No, I.." He fidgeted with his finger, increasing the suspicion from the other boy by the minute. "I never..." He sighed shakily.

"Damn it Key. It's the third time," Though he sounded somehow calm, Jonghyun was mad. And had all the rights in the world to be. He clutched his fists, feeling like punching his friend and Key was ready to just feel the anger Jonghyun was trying to express.

"I can forgive once." Jonghyun tried to calm down by walking around, but Key stood still, staring down at his feet. "But twice was hard enough, why did you have to do it again?!" Now Jonghyun's calmness seemed to be gone. He was yelling and it made Key wince at the sudden loud voice breaking the silence of the dorms like a lightning.

"Bling-"

"DON'T!" Jonghyun screeched and stopped his continuous walking to stare directly into Key's guilty eyes. "Don't you dare apology now,"

Key prefered to stay silent. The coldness in Jonghyun's voice was something new to him. He was used to a soft tone, sometimes stirring toward sarcasm, but still so loving. But the everforgiving Jonghyun was gone and Key didn't exactly feel like getting him back.

"Just, just tell me it's still him," Jonghyun seemed to have a hard time keeping his tears from falling. "If it's him, I...I'll accept it," He sat down on a chair beside the table and Key watched him do so. "I won't hate you as much...just tell me you didn't do anything with anyone else...than him,"

Kibum hesitated before speaking up. "I..." His voice was hoarse because of the lump that formed in his throat. "Only him...Jinki, always Jinki," He said and swore he heard Jonghyun's heart crack even though the latter had said he would accept. "Are you okay?" The youngest asked, even though it was obvious that Jonghyun wasn't okay. How could he be okay?

"I'll be okay. Just go away."

And Key obeyed. Just like a dog who'd follow his master's order right after it had bitten. He walked, still feeling guilty about breaking his old lover's heart. Kibum briefly wondered what he should do. He didn't want to go back and beg for forgiveness and cause even more pain to his friend. So, he walked to the nearest room, where he knew Jinki would be. Where he knew he could at least forget about his guilt. No. No, he couldn't forget, but at least he might feel a bit happy for choosing Jinki instead of sad for cheating on Jonghyun.

"Are you okay?" His leader asked and Kibum didn't really know when he had walked in.

"I think, yes,"

"Aww, don't worry. Jonghyun will be okay." Jinki said. Too optimistic, he was always too optimistic. "He's strong. He'll be okay,"

Kibum sniffled, leaning his back onto the wall. Guilt had kicked in, he felt like he had betrayed not only the man who once loved him, but his best friend too. Yes, Jonghyun loved him and Kibum acted as if he did too. But it was never like when he was with Jinki. It was never the same and both of them knew it very well. Jonghyun couldn't blame him, Jinki was a nice person. So nice, he couldn't be hated. And that alone was enough to drive someone crazy.

Jinki smiled sadly. "Aww, come here," Jinki opened his arms for Kibum to come burry his head in the comforting shoulder. The oldest felt water soaking his shirt, but didn't care. He let his fingers stroke the younger man's hair gently.

"It's okay,"

"It's always okay with you," Kibum replied through his tears. Jinki couldn't tell if it was a compliment or a blame.

"Always," Jinki smiled and hugged tighter.

And even when watching the one he loves being hugged and comforted by someone else from the half-closed door, Jonghyun can't hate.

And that makes it even more painful.
