I walked by that sign everyday at Tusconinis (sp?). I grew up in Chelsea, and those bagels are only good at 2am on a saturday night when you are all fucked up on at least 3 different substances. Even then, they are kinda dry.

I'd quit that job, I've never heard of something so absurd as what you described.

Way out of line for him to do that. If you don't show some respect for your employees, aside from causing people to do poorer work, and causing more likelyhood for people quitting, what the fool is really doing is showing how insecure he is. By showing low respect for your "lessers" not really lesser, but he manages you, so lesser in the sense of corporate policy, your showing that you have a need to make other people look lower than you, in order to make yourself lower.

Sadly, most of life is full of this sort of thing, and while you CAN improve your situation by changing jobs, usually you can't find places where that sort of character is absent.
